Count Shift Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the Count Shift mobile application (the "App") collects, uses, and protects information when you use it.
By installing, opening, or playing Count Shift, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy and agree to our Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Who we are
Count Shift is operated by the publisher of the Android package com.valentoapps.countshift. References to "we", "our", or "us" mean that publisher (Valento Apps).
2. What Count Shift does
Count Shift is a casual number-stride puzzle game. You swipe to move numbered pieces; each piece travels a different distance based on its value. Levels are generated on your device. Core gameplay runs offline once the App is installed.
The App does not require a Valento Apps account and does not sync progress to our servers. An internet connection may be used for app updates via Google Play and for opening linked legal pages.
3. What data we collect
3.1 Data on your device
The App stores preferences and lightweight progress locally (for example via on-device storage such as SharedPreferences):

This local data is not uploaded to Valento Apps servers.
Active puzzle sessions live in memory for that session and are not synced as a cloud save.
3.2 Advertising and consent
As of the date above, Count Shift does not embed a third-party advertising SDK (for example Google AdMob) and does not show in-app ads.
If a future version adds advertising, we will update this Privacy Policy, and where required by law we will use an appropriate consent / privacy messaging flow (such as Google's User Messaging Platform) before personalised ads are requested.
3.3 What we do not collect
We do not:
- require sign-in or create player accounts,
- sell your personal data,
- embed a separate analytics or crash-reporting SDK for core gameplay,
- collect payment card data inside the App UI (there are no Valento Apps card forms in the App),
- record microphone audio or access your photo library for core gameplay,
- collect precise GPS location,
- upload puzzle layouts or solutions from your device to our servers.
Aggregated diagnostics or crash statistics may still appear in Google Play Console on Google's side; we do not embed a separate crash SDK in the App.
3.4 Device permissions and network (Android)

Count Shift's core loop does not require camera, contacts, microphone, or fine location. If a future version requests optional sensitive permissions, the App and this policy will describe them.
4. Third-party services

Optional links from the App (Privacy Policy, Terms, Play Store listing) open in an external browser or system sheet. Those destinations have their own policies.
5. How we use data
We use on-device data to:
- operate Count Shift on your device,
- remember your progress and preferences,
- respond to support requests if you contact us,
- comply with law and store policies.
6. Your choices
- Clear App data or uninstall the App to remove local Count Shift data from the device.
- Contact support@valentoapps.com with privacy questions.
7. Retention and deletion
Local data remains until you delete it, clear App storage, or uninstall the App. We do not retain Count Shift gameplay data on our servers because the App does not upload it.
8. Children and parental responsibility
Count Shift is not directed at children under 13 and is intended for users 13 years of age or older, consistent with our Terms of Service.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 for our own systems (the App has no Valento Apps account).
Parents and legal guardians are responsible for:
- preventing under-age use of the App on devices they control,
- supervising Google Play interactions,
- decisions about installing the App on shared devices.
We are not responsible if a person under 13 uses the App because a parent, guardian, or other adult installed it, shared a device, ignored age ratings, or otherwise allowed access in breach of our Terms.
If you believe a child under 13 has contacted us (for example by email) in a way that requires deletion under applicable law, contact support@valentoapps.com and we will take reasonable steps to delete information we control.
9. International processing
If you use the App outside the publisher's country, information processed by Google Play may be handled in other countries as described in Google's policies. We do not operate a separate Count Shift gameplay backend that stores your play data.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the App changes. The "Last updated" date is the source of truth. Material changes will be announced in the App or on our website when practical.
Continued use of the App after an updated Privacy Policy takes effect means you acknowledge the updated policy. If you do not agree, stop using the App and uninstall it.
