Nuday Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the Nuday mobile application (the "App") collects, uses, and protects information when you use it.
By installing, opening, or using Nuday, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy and agree to our Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Who we are
Nuday is operated by the publisher of the Android package com.valentoapps.nuday (iOS bundle identifier com.valentoapps.nuday). References to "we", "our", or "us" mean that publisher (Valento Apps).
2. What Nuday does
Nuday is a mindfulness reminder app. You choose an interval, active hours, and gentle messages; the App schedules local notifications and optional sound or vibration to bring you back to the present moment. You can edit nudge messages, send yourself a test nudge, and pause the schedule at any time.
The App does not require a Valento Apps account and does not sync your schedule or messages to Valento Apps servers. Reminders are planned and stored on your device.
The App reads your device's local time zone only to schedule reminders at the correct local times. That time zone is not sent to Valento Apps.
Optional links in the App (for example this Privacy Policy or Terms) may open in your device's browser or system sheet. Those pages are hosted separately and have their own policies.
3. What data we collect
3.1 Data on your device
The App stores preferences and lightweight runtime state locally (via on-device storage such as SharedPreferences):

This local data is not uploaded to Valento Apps servers. The App does not include networking code to transmit your settings or messages to us.
3.2 Notifications and device permissions (Android)

Nuday does not declare camera, contacts, microphone, fine location, storage, or internet permissions in its Android manifest for core use.
3.3 Notifications (iOS)
On iOS, the App requests notification permission when you start reminders or send a test nudge. Nuday does not declare optional sensitive usage strings (for example camera or location) in its Info.plist for core use.
3.4 Advertising and analytics
As of the date above, Nuday does not embed a third-party advertising SDK (for example Google AdMob) and does not show in-app ads.
We do not embed a separate analytics or crash-reporting SDK for core App use. Aggregated diagnostics may still appear in Google Play Console or App Store Connect on Apple or Google's side.
If a future version adds advertising or analytics, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required by law, obtain appropriate consent before personalised ads are requested.
3.5 What we do not collect
We do not:
- require sign-in or create user accounts,
- sell your personal data,
- upload your nudge messages or schedule to Valento Apps servers,
- collect precise GPS location,
- access your photo library or contacts for core functionality,
- operate a Nuday backend that stores your reminder data.
4. Third-party services

Opening linked legal pages or store listings uses your device's browser or store apps, which have their own policies.
5. How we use information
We use the information described above only to:
- schedule and deliver nudges you configured,
- remember your settings between sessions,
- show status such as the next reminder or today's count,
- comply with law and respond to support requests you send us.
We do not use your local nudge content for advertising profiling.
6. Your choices
- Pause or stop the nudge schedule in the App.
- Disable sound or vibration in Settings.
- Edit or remove custom nudges.
- Deny notification permission — reminders will not appear until allowed
(Android 13+ / iOS).
- Clear App data or uninstall the App to remove local Nuday data from
the device.

7. Retention and deletion
Local App data remains on your device until you clear App storage, uninstall the App, or reset preferences inside the App where available.
We do not retain Nuday reminder data on our servers because the App does not upload it.
If you email support@valentoapps.com, we receive whatever you choose to send (for example your message text and reply address) to handle your request. We keep support correspondence only as long as needed for that purpose or as required by law.
8. Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or to respond to valid legal process. Because reminder data stays on your device, such disclosure would typically relate to support emails or store-provided aggregates, not your nudge text stored locally.
9. Security
We design the App to keep schedule and message data on your device. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; use a device you trust and keep your OS updated.
10. Children and parental responsibility
Nuday is not directed at children under 13 and is intended for users 13 years of age or older, consistent with our Terms of Service.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 for our own systems (the App has no Valento Apps account).
Parents and legal guardians are responsible for:
- preventing under-age use of the App on devices they control,
- supervising notification settings on shared devices,
- decisions about installing the App on devices used by minors.
We are not responsible if a person under 13 uses the App because a parent, guardian, or other adult installed it, shared a device, ignored age ratings, or otherwise allowed access in breach of our Terms.
If you believe a child under 13 has contacted us (for example by email) in a way that requires deletion under applicable law, contact support@valentoapps.com and we will take reasonable steps to delete information we control.
11. International users
Valento Apps is based in Germany. If you use the App from other countries, your device stores data locally under your control. Information processed by Google Play or the App Store may be handled in other countries as described in those providers' policies.
If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another region with data-protection laws, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data we hold about you (for example in support email). Contact support@valentoapps.com. Most Nuday data never leaves your device, so exercising rights may mean using your device settings or uninstalling the App.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App or the law changes. The "Last updated" date is the source of truth. Material changes will be announced in the App or on this page when practical.
Continued use of the App after an updated Privacy Policy takes effect means you acknowledge the updated policy. If you do not agree, stop using the App and uninstall it.
