Puzzlify Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-08-01
This Privacy Policy describes how the Puzzlify mobile application (the "App") collects, uses, and protects information when you use it.
By installing, opening, or playing Puzzlify, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy and agree to our Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
If anything here is unclear, contact us at support@valentoapps.com (or whichever support address is shown in the App's Settings).
1. Who we are
Puzzlify is operated by the publisher of the Google Play listing com.valentoapps.puzzlify. References to "we", "our", or "us" mean that publisher (Valento Apps).
2. What Puzzlify does
Puzzlify is a custom-image jigsaw and tile puzzle game. You choose a photo from your device (gallery or camera), pick a puzzle style and difficulty, and assemble the picture on your device. You can keep a local library of in-progress and completed puzzles, replay a saved photo at a new difficulty, select a background from built-in art, earn and spend in-app coins, play an optional daily puzzle that downloads a curated photo, browse optional Explore destinations that download photos from Wikimedia Commons, and use optional hints.
The App does not require a Valento Apps account and does not sync your photos, coin balance, or puzzle saves to Valento Apps servers. An internet connection is used for ads, optional daily and Explore photo downloads, app updates via Google Play, and opening linked legal or store pages.
3. What data we collect
3.1 Photos and puzzle library on your device
When you create a puzzle, the App may access photos you select (or capture) through the system photo picker / camera APIs. Selected images are copied into the App's private storage so you can continue or view puzzles later.
| Category | What it is | Why we need it |
|---|---|---|
| Puzzle images | Copies of photos you choose, daily photos, or Explore downloads, plus optional thumbnails. | Render pieces and restore saved puzzles. |
| Puzzle state | Grid size, piece style, move count, piece order, progress / completed status, and timestamps. | Save progress and show My puzzles. |
| Coin wallet | Local coin balance, free-create counters, and daily login-bonus claim dates. | Soft economy for creating puzzles, hints, and ad top-ups. |
| Explore progress | Which Explore stops you have completed (stored as local IDs). | Show roadmap progress. |
| App preferences | Sound, haptics, piece numbers, preferred piece style, selected background, and similar settings. | Personalise the App. |
Photos, wallet state, Explore progress, and preferences stay on your device. We do not upload your personal gallery photos to Valento Apps servers.
Daily puzzle: if you open Daily puzzle, the App may download a photo from a third-party image service (currently Lorem Picsum) over HTTPS and cache it on the device for that day. That download does not include your gallery photos.
Explore: if you open Explore, the App may request photo metadata and image files from Wikimedia Commons (including the Wikimedia API and upload.wikimedia.org / Commons file URLs). Requests include a descriptive User-Agent that identifies Puzzlify and a contact address (support@valentoapps.com). Downloaded Explore images may be cached on the device for gameplay. Explore downloads do not upload your gallery photos.
3.2 Advertising and consent (Google)
Puzzlify shows Google AdMob ads:
- Banner — small ads on the home menu and during puzzle play.
- Interstitial — full-screen ads when starting a new puzzle level (not when continuing a saved session).
- Rewarded video — optional; watching a rewarded ad may grant coins (which you can spend on creating puzzles or hints).
Before ads are requested where required by law, the App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to gather consent or show other privacy messages. Where required, Settings may include a Privacy options entry so you can review or change ad privacy choices.
When ads are served, Google and its partners may process device and ad identifiers, approximate location derived from IP, interaction data, and similar signals under their own policies. We do not sell your data. We do not receive a copy of your full advertising profile from Google.
We do not control Google's or its partners' independent processing. Their practices are governed by their own policies. See section 4.
Puzzlify is configured as not child-directed (age 13+). See Google's policies for how AdMob treats that signal.
3.3 What we do not collect
We do not:
- require sign-in or create player accounts,
- sell your personal data,
- embed a separate analytics or crash-reporting SDK for core gameplay,
- collect payment card data inside the App UI (there are no Valento Apps card forms in the App),
- upload your gallery photos or camera captures to Valento Apps servers,
- collect precise GPS location,
- access your contacts or microphone for core gameplay.
Aggregated diagnostics or crash statistics may still appear in Google Play Console on Google's side; we do not embed a separate crash SDK in the App.
3.4 Device permissions and network (Android)
| Permission / signal | Use |
|---|---|
| Internet | Load ads, Google Play / consent flows, download optional daily and Explore photos, call the Wikimedia Commons API when you use Explore, and open linked web pages (for example this Privacy Policy or the Play Store listing). |
| Photos / media (or system photo picker) | Let you choose an image to turn into a puzzle. |
| Camera (optional) | Let you capture a new photo for a puzzle when you choose that option. |
Puzzlify does not require contacts, microphone, or fine location for its core loop. If a future version requests additional sensitive permissions, the App and this policy will describe them.
4. Third-party services
| Provider | Role |
|---|---|
| Google Play | App distribution, updates, optional rating / store links, and any store-managed billing. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy. |
| Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads | Banner, interstitial, and rewarded advertising. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. |
| Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) | Consent and privacy messaging for ads where required. |
| Daily photo host (e.g. Lorem Picsum) | Optional download of the daily challenge image. Subject to that host's terms and policies. |
| Wikimedia Commons / Wikimedia Foundation | Optional Explore photo search and image downloads. Subject to Wikimedia's Privacy Policy and Commons terms of use. |
Optional links from the App (Privacy Policy, Terms, Play Store) open in an external browser or system sheet. Those destinations have their own policies.
When you use Explore or Daily puzzle, the remote host receives standard network request data (such as IP address, User-Agent, and requested URLs) under that host's policies. We do not receive a separate copy of your Wikimedia account data because the App does not require a Wikimedia login.
5. How we use data
We use on-device data and advertising infrastructure to:
- operate Puzzlify on your device,
- store and restore your puzzles, coin wallet, Explore progress, and settings,
- show banners, paced interstitials, and optional rewarded ads for coins,
- honour consent / privacy choices collected through UMP,
- fetch optional daily and Explore photos when you request those features,
- respond to support requests if you contact us,
- comply with law and store policies.
6. Your choices
- Clear App data or uninstall the App to remove local Puzzlify data (including copied puzzle images, coin balance, and Explore progress) from the device.
- Delete individual puzzles from My puzzles when the App provides that action.
- Change sound / haptics / piece options / background in Settings (stored locally).
- Privacy options (when shown in Settings) to review ad privacy choices via Google's form.
- Skip or decline optional rewarded ads; you can keep playing when your coin balance and other rules allow.
- Deny camera or photo access in system settings; you will not be able to create puzzles from those sources until access is granted.
- Avoid Explore or Daily puzzle if you do not want those network downloads.
- Contact support@valentoapps.com with privacy questions.
You can also limit ads personalisation in your device or Google account settings where Google provides those controls.
7. Retention and deletion
Local photos, puzzle state, coin wallet, Explore progress, and preferences remain until you delete them, clear App storage, or uninstall the App. We do not retain your puzzle photos on our servers because the App does not upload them.
Advertising and consent records held by Google are retained according to Google's policies. Cached daily and Explore photos remain on the device until cleared or replaced. Wikimedia may retain request logs under its own policies.
8. Children and parental responsibility
Puzzlify is not directed at children under 13 and is intended for users 13 years of age or older, consistent with our Terms of Service.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 for our own systems (the App has no Valento Apps account).
Parents and legal guardians are responsible for:
- preventing under-age use of the App on devices they control,
- supervising Google Play, photo/camera access, Explore / daily downloads, and advertising interactions,
- decisions about installing the App on shared devices.
We are not responsible if a person under 13 uses the App because a parent, guardian, or other adult installed it, shared a device, ignored age ratings, or otherwise allowed access in breach of our Terms.
If you believe a child under 13 has contacted us (for example by email) in a way that requires deletion under applicable law, contact support@valentoapps.com and we will take reasonable steps to delete information we control.
Third-party advertising and photo hosts may process data under their own rules when those features are used. See sections 3.2, 4, and Google's / Wikimedia's policies.
9. International processing
If you use the App outside the publisher's country, your information may be processed by Google, Wikimedia, and other partners in other countries as described in their policies. We do not operate a separate Puzzlify gameplay backend that stores your photos, coins, or puzzle progress.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the App changes. The "Last updated" date is the source of truth. Material changes will be announced in the App or on our website when practical.
Continued use of the App after an updated Privacy Policy takes effect means you acknowledge the updated policy. If you do not agree, stop using the App and uninstall it.
